Incoming First Year Students

If you are a new, incoming student for the fall (first-year or transfer), you are considered an Incoming Student. Please visit our Incoming Students page for more information.

Current Students

UNC-CH students who were enrolled in the Spring and are planning to either return or graduate in August are automatically eligible to register for courses in Summer I (including Maymester) and Summer II. You do not need to apply. Use your ONYEN and password to access ConnectCarolina starting on the date and time of your summer registration appointment. To register, you cannot have any financial or other negative service indicators. If one exists, the system identifies the office to contact to clear you for registration.

Academic advisers on campus can answer questions about courses, drop or withdrawal deadlines, attendance, or other issues related to classes.

If you are graduating in May immediately prior to the start of the first summer session, you must apply to be a Summer School Visitor.  Please visit our Visiting Students page for more information.
