Public Health is all about protecting and improving the well-being of populations. U.S. healthcare is a complex system shaped by policies, organizations, leaders, and the people they serve. In this track, you’ll explore how public health and healthcare systems are organized and how policies influence access, quality, and health outcomes. Throughout the week, you’ll learn about key public health concepts and the major disciplines that work together to improve population health. You’ll also take a deeper dive into healthcare policy and management concepts by examining how leaders make policy decisions and how healthcare organizations respond to real-world challenges. Through hands-on activities, case studies, simulations, and discussions, you’ll experience what it is like to study Health Policy and Management at UNC and discover career paths in public health, healthcare administration, health policy, consulting, government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and public health leadership.
