Public Health is all about protecting and improving the well-being of populations (whether through disease prevention, environmental health, health policy, nutrition, data analysis, or community-based initiatives). In this track, you’ll dive into the core of the major and how all those pieces fit together. Throughout the week, you’ll explore how public health professionals track diseases, promote wellness, analyze data, and design interventions that make populations healthier. You’ll participate in activities that mirror real public health work, see what it’s like to study Public Health at UNC, and get and a closer look at the many careers that make Public Health such a vital field. Warning: Side effects of this track may include increased curiosity and a future in helping others.
