Accessing the System (Web)

You can register online for Maymester, First session, Second session, or all summer sessions.   Visiting students will need to setup an ONYEN and password at https://onyen.unc.edu.  Click on "Create an Onyen."  You must do this PRIOR to registering.  Keep this information.  You will need it to register, drop or add classes, check grades, etc.

Late Registration occurs during the first two days of classes. See the dates and times under "Registration Schedule."

NOTE: No Shows. If you register for any course during this process and then change your mind about attending, it is your responsibility to inform the Registrar that you are NOT attending summer sessions. Otherwise, you are liable for charges due and will remain on the grade rolls. Do not be a no show.

Web registration
When you are ready to register, access the Web registration system (studentcentral.unc.edu).

To register, you need the following information:

  • ONYEN and Password
  • PIN  - Personal Identification Number (four digits).
