Visiting students begin registration on March 24, 2015. UNC-Chapel Hill students begin registration according to their completed Terms in Residence. For more information on Terms in Residence, see the University Registrar’s Spring 2015 calendar (http://registrar.unc.edu/files/2012/03/Spring-Semester-2015.pdf) and http://www.unc.edu/ugradbulletin/procedures1.html#registration_priority UNC-Chapel Hill students who attend Summer School should see their academic advisers on campus if they have questions about courses, drop or withdrawal deadlines, attendance, or other issues related to classes. Visiting students should see the Dean of Summer School in the Summer School office at 134 E. Franklin Street, Room 200.
How to Register
Go to http://connectcarolina.unc.edu and click on the “Login to ConnectCarolina Student Center” icon on the right.
Enter your ONYEN and password.
Within the ConnectCarolina Student Center, you have a few different options for adding courses:
- You can search for classes and add them to your Shopping Cart, and then enroll in those classes once your Registration Appointment starts. Please note that adding a class to your Shopping Cart does not automatically register you for the class or guarantee a seat will be available when you try to enroll in the class. When adding classes to your Shopping Cart, be sure to follow through all the steps, until you see a message that the class has been added to your Shopping Cart.
- You can enroll in classes from the “Enroll” then “Add” tab once your Registration Appointment starts.
- You can put courses in your Planner, then enroll from your Planner. Please note that adding a class to your planner does not automatically register you for the class or guarantee a seat will be available when you try to enroll in the class.
Registration is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week once your appointment time begins.
Check the notes section for classes ahead of time to see if the departments have placed restrictions on the classes.
The web registration system times out in 20 minutes if no activity occurs during your session, and you will have to log back in.
Once you’ve followed all the steps to add classes to your Shopping Cart or Planner and you have received a message that the class has been added to your Shopping Cart or Planner, they are saved there and will appear when you log back in.
If you need to log in to the public class search and your ConnectCarolina Student Center at the same time, you must use two different browsers.
